Changes.

We've just changed our ISP, which has meant a bit of a hurdle for us to display the webcam that a few people have become attached to. So I've got it running again at 221.121.146.78  it may have some fun to show with the massive cyclone heading our way, it's the biggest thing I think has ever been seen this way, hopefully it won't turn our home into matchsticks.

  2. Unless it has a mean change of mind we will likely only see a bit of a blow and way too much rain.
The council is going to turn the water off at 7 tomorrow morning, mean buggers, you'd think at the price they sell it to us they wouldn't dream of doing that.

  3. Jim, Sorry to hear about the cyclone heading your way. When the scare mongers start to get to me here in Florida, I think of all the caravan homes in the retirement parks. Some have been there over 50 years and survived dozens of storms.

  5. Good luck with Yasi, Jim. I'm in Brisbane, but my parents are out at Warren's Hill. Long time reader, first time poster. Rob.

  6. Jim, I'd pack my bags and drive 100 km South if I were you. You've got Category 4 winds headed straight for you and things are going to get ugly. Don't try riding this thing out unless you like hugging trees.

  7. Thanks for the posts, I offered Grace the chance to get away but she felt more comfortable staying so we're bunkering down. The road I believe is clogged and you have to travel 100km before you can swing away from Yasi anyway. We don't have a proper shelter in Ingham and figure we may as well stay in the house, if need be under the house may stay secure. I'm worried about losing power, and that's bound to happen.

  8. We here in snowy NY think about you and Grace going thru the terrible cyclone: the news is all over USA national TV. Be careful!

  9. If a blue car shows up in the news reports in a sea of water, that'll be ours.
We haven't enough power for TV and the free aerial is down, I wish we had power and water.

I'd love some of your snow now Dave, just the thing to plonk the beer in.
