At enormous expense I managed to find a new belt and pulley this morning, it would have been much easier if the belt was ~15mm longer but it's fitted and things are good again.

This is a hobby, I like taking photos and a weblog is a good way of learning how to write. I show off stuff around Ingham, NQ, and other parts of Australia when I get around to travelling. I'm not so busy these days as cataracts have reduced the joy I used to have being able to see things but hopefully that will improve and have me more active again soon.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say the middle pulley on the left is the tensioner.
ReplyDeleteMy wife's car is a 2012 Toyota Yaris "5 door". Toyota in their great wisdom decided to make the belt longer starting in 2013. Unless your car was made in Japan - those started using the longer belt in 2012. It took me 3 belts to get this sorted out. >_<
It's my parent's car and a very common model in Australia although practically unknown outside of it, thus making life hard for people like me who like to shop for bling from China. yes that's the tensioner pulley but the one I replaced is the idler pulley on the upper RH part of this piccie.
