My current main computer has become unreliable, often crashing when being given a bit of work, like video processing.
A minor upgrade but video files do need a bit of power.

This is a hobby, I like taking photos and a weblog is a good way of learning how to write. I show off stuff around Ingham, NQ, and other parts of Australia when I get around to travelling. I'm not so busy these days as cataracts have reduced the joy I used to have being able to see things but hopefully that will improve and have me more active again soon.
I like the non-leaking capacitors these ASUS boards come with.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little bit peeved with AMD, I like their fusion or whatever the name is processors but they've quickly moved from FM1 to FM2 sockets, meaning more cost.
ReplyDeleteI suspect there was still a cooling issue with the previous Asrock board despite my attempts to improve airflow.
I finally pressed the new setup into use yesterday and it has handled heavy loading fine so far, as it should.
It's the A10-5800k cpu.
