Sealed for now.

The seal I'd put on the cement patch I did to the broken floor of our shower had gotten steadily worse and my fear of the work involved in a proper repair has kept me in a frozen state for too long, then it dawned on me that I can do a simple job that may do the trick.
I've used some silicone sealant to stick this old car mat over the broken section. I didn't bother cleaning the top of the mat because it's in a shower and the mud from floodwater should wash off in its own time anyway.
Sealant on the back of the mat.
A not in focus (sorry about that) photo of the sealant about the repaired section.

Slow boat from China.

This packet arrived this morning, China post or Auspost were in no hurry to transport it, four months is a very relaxed albeit reliable service.

Carols by candlelight.

Olivia and I went to our annual Carols by candlelight tonight as we were scheduled to sing a few ditties. The sunset cast a lovely shadow of a xmas bell decoration.
The crowd was building up as we were on stage. No piccies of us though.
After us came the Scovassi lasses. Both good in quite different ways.
Then Bonnie Zaghini did a pretty good job, and coped very well with the equipment failure that plagued her.
The Herbert Valley Voices finished off the evening very well. Everything flowed along quite smoothly and left a good taste in my mouth.

I'm a sucker for cute things.

I saw these cute purses for sale on Banggood and couldn't make up my mind which to get, so I got all four. Olivia snaffled the big smiley as soon as she saw them, so she must be more decisive than me.

More dressing up.

Olivia has put our house in a very seasonal mood now.
Post Xmas I think I'll inspect these stars, they appear to lack colour that they may have had before.

Honesty in labeling.

Olivia was thinking about grabbing some fish sauce whilst we were in the Asian shop in Townsville but I was wary of this one, maybe that extra "s" is a typo.

Hopscotch.

I saw this wonderful hopscotch setup near one of the very rare public lavatories in Townsville when we were there last week, I thought it was a terrific idea, then after a bit of thought realised that I would be out of puff after one round, aging has its drawbacks.
